Riding School and Camps
No experience required…Just a desire to learn and have fun!
Our riding school program has been designed to accommodate new riders as well as those who have had exposure to equestrian activities.
Our students range from 4 years of age to retirement age!
We teach riding and about the care of horses (horsemanship). Good horsemanship has many benefits. Riders are encouraged to learn about all aspects of horse care. We also host a variety of theory sessions with our team of equine professionals.
New riders begin on the lunge line. Once the rider feels comfortable with the control of the horse independent riding is introduced/ Our instructors customize a regime of stretching exercises to help riders progress with their riding skills. Riders are able to develop the skills and confidence in a systematic progression toward our more advanced level programs.
All of our riding school students are encouraged to participate in horse shows. We attend a number of local shows and in past years have had many successes.
We combine fun with an emphasis on enhancing riding skills and knowledge of horses.
Ladies’ and gentleman’s groups are available during the day or evening for those who wish to experience the joy of horses in their leisure time. Our adult lesson program is quite popular. The benefit of exercise in a stress free environment is bonus!
Our school horses and ponies are a special group of equines. They are our partners in teaching riding skills. Each one possesses a particular skill set to enhance your riding experience. Our school horses are all very experienced, steady mounts. Many have been or are currently highly competitive show horses. Safety and enjoyment are primary concerns at Twisted Pine Farm.
March Break Camps and Summer Camps are available for ages 8 and up. All camps are a full day experience. The riders receive mounted lessons and horsemanship lessons with qualified, experienced instructors, focussing on safety as well as positive learning. Campers also enjoy horse related games, crafts and a fun day! All levels are welcome to participate.
